Our Story & What Big Candle Brands Are Hiding
It started with a simple frustration.
We'd been making candles for years in a separate business — studying fragrance, sourcing wax, obsessing over the burn. We knew what a well-crafted candle could do for a room.
But even after 5 years in the industry, we couldn't find any other brands who loved America like we did.
Every brand on the shelf fell into the same two categories: mass-produced overseas with cheap synthetic wax and fragrance oils that left us with headaches.
Nothing that smelled like history. Nothing that stood for anything.
We're a homeschool family of seven in Washington State. We believe in the founding principles of 1776. We believe in faith, family, and the kind of freedom that costs something. And we couldn't find a single candle that felt like it was made for people like us.
So we made a new business that did.
THE FIRST CANDLE
The American Heritage collection was where it began — and The Patriot was the first candle we ever released...
Hand-rolled tobacco and green bay leaf layered with sharp citrus, weathered cedar, sandalwood, and musk. A scent built for someone who doesn't follow the crowd, who chooses honor over comfort, who knows that freedom has a price and considers it worth paying.
The response told us everything we needed to know. There were a lot of people out there who felt the same gap we did.

Most commercial candles are made with low-quality wax and synthetic fragrance oils loaded with phthalates. They're made to pump out quantity, not quality.
We needed a cleaner solution that didn't compromise on scent quality.
Every Resistance Candle is hand-poured in small batches using a premium coconut-apricot wax — non-toxic, clean-burning, and pet-safe.
Our fragrances are phthalate-free, custom-blended to be complex and layered rather than artificial and overpowering. Every candle is poured, labeled, and packed in Washington State by real people who care about what they're making.
No overseas production. No generic scent oils. No shortcuts.
